The ServiceNow Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for validating and ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of ServiceNow applications and solutions. This role involves working closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure that ServiceNow applications meet business requirements, user expectations, and performance standards. You will design, implement, and execute test cases, automate tests, and report defects to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions built on the ServiceNow platform.
Who We Are Looking For
  • Test Planning & Strategy:
    • Develop and execute detailed test plans and test strategies for ServiceNow applications, customizations, and integrations.
    • Collaborate with the product team to understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive testing procedures.
  • Test Case Design & Execution:
    • Design, document, and maintain detailed test cases for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of ServiceNow solutions.
    • Perform manual and automated tests to validate ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI components, and integrations.
  • Automation Testing:
    • Create and maintain automated test scripts using ServiceNow's Automated Test Framework (ATF), as well as other automation tools such as Selenium or Jenkins.
    • Develop reusable and efficient test scripts to reduce manual testing effort and improve test coverage.
  • Defect Identification & Management:
    • Identify, log, and manage defects in Jira or another issue-tracking system, collaborating with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
    • Ensure that defects are accurately described and tracked through resolution and verify that fixes are validated.
  • Integration Testing:
    • Test integrations between ServiceNow and other systems (such as ERP, HR, or third-party tools) to ensure data integrity, synchronization, and functionality.
  • Performance & Load Testing:
    • Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate the platform’s scalability and responsiveness.
    • Identify performance bottlenecks and work with the development team to optimize the system.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders:
    • Work closely with the ServiceNow development team, business analysts, and project managers to ensure the delivered product meets requirements.
    • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews as part of an Agile or Scrum team.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Create and maintain clear and concise documentation of test cases, test results, defect logs, and test summaries.
    • Report testing progress, issues, and results to management and stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow features, updates, and best practices.
    • Proactively identify areas for improvement in the testing process and suggest process improvements.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing, with experience specifically working with the ServiceNow platform
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and testing API integrations
  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify root causes of issues, and propose solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in test execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or other ServiceNow certifications.
  • Experience in Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
